Pasticceria Di Maria “Il dolce della sposa” is an artisan excellence for the production of fresh and dry pastries, cakes and delicious semi colds, located in the historic center of the Municipality of Vico del Gargano. Essenza Garganica was born in 2011 when Rocco Afferrante, after over ten years of experience in the production of preserves and liqueurs, decided to set up his own company with his own brand.
Inside the laboratory, located in Vico del Gargano, the production of jams, pickles, vegetable pests, candied fruit and liqueurs takes place with artisanal techniques that allow preserving the organoleptic characteristics of the fresh product while ensuring the safety of the products thanks to continuous checks during the processing phase.
As it is well known, the quality of a final product is closely related to the quality of the raw material and that is why Essenza Garganica uses raw materials for its production deriving from the company’s land and from small local producers, supporting the local economy and enclosing in every jar and bottle the essence of the territory.
The link with the territory and the quality are key points of the company that has chosen since its foundation to join the Consortium for the Protection of the Orange of the Gargano IGP and of the Limone Femminello del Gargano IGP, producing citrus fruits under the IGP brand and Slow Food presidium which transforms into jams, candied fruit, liqueurs, pesto and juices.
